Aw man! I took a break from my studies for a
weeklong trip up north to Carins. I had a wonderful time traveling by myself
and meeting new people along the way. The first thing I found when exploring in
the morning was this sign warning against crocodiles.
Cairns is beautifully settled surrounded by mountains on one side and the
Pacific Ocean on the other.
Along the edge of the water there is a boardwalk
which I spent a couple of hours watching birds.
Because of the crocodile risk, along the
Esplanade there is a lagoon for swimming.
I spend some time with my book, the water, some
sunshine and palm trees. So many nice times being antisocial.
